A social feast after a long absence


Since the second half of 2021, many European countries, including the United States, Denmark, Norway, France, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Sweden, and Ireland, have canceled comprehensive epidemic prevention measures and started to implement the "living with the epidemic" plan. The resulting three major trends in overseas markets:


1.Return To Office

The global top 100 enterprises (such as Walmart, Apple, Google, etc.) have begun to resume work and production since February to March 2022, and the trend of back to office has been popularized overseas through the combination of company/remote.


2. Turn on vacation/travel mode

As more countries reopen their borders to eager tourists, a trendy new word has emerged on social media: Revenge Travel. The term has been used to describe all sorts of trips, such as family reunions, splurge vacations, and revisiting favorite places.


3. Party/wedding


The wedding season in Europe and the United States is from May to October every year, with spring and summer alternating from May to June and summer and autumn alternating from September to October as peaks.

In addition, with the arrival of a wave of festivals in the second half of the year, overseas consumers' parties and party activities have greatly increased.

- Travel luggage retail market is a very important market in the world. Luggage or travel luggage includes items such as bags/boxes/containers that are used to accommodate passengers while traveling. Travel bags have changed a lot over time. Consumers may have a range of bags and boxes, including clothing, toiletries, small items, travel essentials and souvenirs for the return trip. Consumers can choose from different sizes, colors and styles of bags to suit their specific use and personal style. Travel luggage can be divided into travel, business or leisure use.


- In 2023, the United States will have the highest revenue in the travel and tourism market, followed by China and Germany.


- Samsonite was founded in 1910 and is headquartered in the United States, but has moved its operational headquarters to Luxembourg. Total revenue of $2.9 billion in 2022. Samsonite operates several well-known brands, including American Tourister, Tumi, Speck, and High Sierra. As of 2022, 70% of Samsonite's net sales were attributed to travel-related products. North America is the main region where Samsonite is sold, followed by Asia.
